NY Republican State Senator David Storobin raised $150,000 for his Super Jewish race since he was seated to the Senate a month ago. This is less than the $229,000 that Democrat Simcha Felder raised through the end of the just-concluded fundraising period. However, Felder had three months, a full twelve weeks, to raise his money (which amounts to $19,083.33 per week), versus Storobin who had only four weeks (which amounts to $37,503.50 per week).
Storobin’s showing took place despite the fact that Republican Senate Leader Dean Skelos has not come out in public nor in private to back Storobin.
