The Press Release also writes: The overwhelming majority of Williamsburg Hasidim vote in the 50th Assembly district which includes 1/10th or less of the totaleligible voters in the district. Still, that district delivered for the losing candidate, Erik Dilan, over 1/5th of the total votes that were cast in the congressional primary. Of the 10,099 votes casted in AD50, Erik Dilan received 6,206 – 61.45 percent, versus 3,774, 37.37 percent, for the victoriousNydia Velazquez. That district delivered about 2/3rds of the total Dilan vote, and it is where he had by far his best showing. But that’s not the whole story. When zeroing in on the election districts where Hasidim are dominant, Dilan did even better, dominating up to 70+ percent in some instances.
