Democratic State Senate candidate Simcha Felder challenged the validity of the signatures submitted by Abraham Tischler to appear on the “Scholl Choice” Line.
Mr. Tischler is also on the Democratic ballot against Felder.
But according to a review by the Board of Elections (yet to be certified), at least 80% of Mr. Tischler’s signatures are good and as such he will very likely remain on the School Choice line, barring any changes via the Court. This means two key things: 1) Mr. Tischler is likely a State Senate candidate in November regardless the outcome of the Democratic Primary of next Thursday. 2) Since Mr. Tischler has standing, he can try to remove Mr. Felder’s appearance on the Tax Cuts line. In fact, a challenge was already submitted to knock Felder off the Tax Cut line.
In the mean time, Moshe Tischler argued Friday in court that appellate Judges should remove Dov Hikind from the Conservative Party line for AD48. The main fight is on the Democratic Line, after younger Tischler already removed Mr. Hikind from the GOP line.
