Here are results of some key elections that took place in areas with a large base of Ultra Orthodox Jewish/Hasidic voters:
With 96% of the precincts reporting in State Senate District 17, Simcha Felder has 5,676 votes (82%), to 1,184 (17%) votes for Abraham Tischler.
With all votes counted in Assembly District 45, Cymbrowitz has 1,774 (53% of the) votes; Ben Akselrod has 1,530 (47% of the) votes.
With all votes counted in AD 45, Assemblyman Dov Hikind has 3,021 (84% of the) votes, and Moshe Tischler has 558 (15% of the votes).
With 98% reporting, David Greenfield-Backed Steven Mostosky won the Dem Primary for a Civil Court Judgeship, over Charles Finkelstein, the candidate backed by Assemblyman Hikind, who won onlyy 18% of the vote.
In the race to oust Lincoln Restler from his District Leader seat, Brooklyn Dem Boss change the map, to make it tough for Restler to win. However at the time of this writing he seems to be behind by 125 votes between the 11,000-plus casted. READ UPDATES NUMBERS AND NEWS OF THE RACE AT THIS LINK!
With all votes counted in AD98 (in Orange and Rockland Counties), McQuade won 1,477 votes, Kemnitz won 850 votes, and Aron Wieder won 709.
