By now you know for a fact that Romney said making peace between Israel and the Palestinians is impassable. Right? Well, that is only true if you listened to the tape that has omitted a key part. But what Romney said in full context was that continually asking the Israelis to give up land in order to gain peace won’t work. The problem will be unsolvable if this is the only approach. Instead, show the Palestinians “strength, American strength; American resolve. And the Palestinians someday will reach a point where they want peace, more than us trying to put peace on them… until then it’s just wishful thinking.”
Romney did however say that the Palestinians are more interested in the destruction of Israel than to make peace. but, the narrative that Romney said the issue is unsolvable, is false. See here the video. H/T The Right Sccop:
