Quinnipiac/CBS/NYT: GOP Base More Energized Than Dems in Key Swing States

From reading the 20-page summary report by Quinnipiac of the poll for CBS/NYT, you would not know it, but more Republicans consider themselves more enthusiastic than past elections to vote in FL, PA in OH, than are the number of Democrats: In FL, 48% Dem are “more enthusiastic than other elections” to vote, vs. 52% Republicans who say the same on themselves. In OH, the number is 33% among Dems; 43% among Republicans. In PA, it’s 28% among Dems and 45% among Republicans.

The number jumped ten points among GOP voters and slipped two points among Dems in PA compared to the early August Poll, but somehow this major pro Romney fact didn’t make it to the summary report. Instead bullet note number four in the poll release notes that 48% Florida Dems are more enthusiastic, yet fails to mention that this number is still weaker than GOP voters in Florida.
