September 19th late night, we reported that 24 affidavits were signed by people who claim their names were used by someone else to vote. We did not attribute it at the time to either camp. However, the Yiddish weekly paper of the Zaloynim (the Satmar wing backing Olechowski), and the Unofficial Zaloynim Blogger (who increasingly has quite accurate information of the ongoings in Williamsburg), both claimed I am nuts for suggesting that fraud took place. They argued it was a desperate attempt on my end to spin for Restler.
Of course, a day after I reported it, the unofficial blogger too found fraud. The NYP also reported (on September 21st) that according to poll-watchers fraud took place.
Now the Unofficial Zaloynim Blogger outlines in great detail multiple examples of what appears to be major fraud on behalf of a person named Johnson who worked for Restler. Whether Olechowski will present it in court to counter the expected Restler claims, remains to be seen. But I am glad that our initial reporting first ripped by partisans in the Olechowski Camp, is now being multiplied by the great work of the Unofficial Zaloynim Blogger, and if indeed both sides claim and can prove that major fraud took place, then perhaps the Judge should dump the results altogether and implement reform for future elections in Williamsburg Brooklyn.
