Ben Akselrod, the third party Candidate on the Independence party line for State Assembly in the 45th District, is calling out his Democratic / Working Families Party opponent Steve Cymbrowitz for ducking the Manhattan Beach Community Group debate scheduled for October 24th.
Manhattan Beach Community Group President Ira Zalcman posted on the group’s website that Steven Cymbrowitz had declined their invitation to debate in writing, claiming that the group was “unable to be impartial.”
“At a time when voters are awaiting practical solutions to growing concerns about their daily job, skyrocketing tuition fees, crime increase and family values, Assemblyman Cymbrowitz is nowhere to be seen,” said Ben Akselrod. “Cymbrowitz has been an absentee official through his career, and his work in the district in non-existent.”
“The choice in this election is too important to ignore. Will voters give yet another pass to partisan politics that have stagnated our economy and have not addressed the issues of great concern to every individual, or will we send to the State legislature an independent voice who will fight for the community and the constituents of the district, someone that will not adhere to party lines when it comes to the values of our community,” said Akselrod.
Akselrod is looking forward to debate Cymbrowitz’s empty chair and his Republican opponent on the issues that matter, and present his plan to restore dignity and integrity in Albany. [PRESS RELEASE]
