Cuomo Faces Friendly Fire in Florida from Hikind

Crains Reports: Brooklyn Assemblyman Dov Hikind plans to be in Boca Raton on Saturday. But while he and Mr. Cuomo are both Democrats, Mr. Hikind will be stumping for the other team.

“I’d love to cross paths with him and say hello to him,” Mr. Hikind said. “I don’t know where he’s going to be, but I’ll be in Boca and communities around there. I’d love to see him, of course.”

Mr. Hikind, a staunch supporter of Israel, frequently crosses party lines to endorse Republicans. And as Florida is a home to many New York transplants, especially Jewish ones, Mr. Hikind said he hopes his message about Mr. Obama’s failed economic policies will resonate (although polls show the president winning the Jewish vote). That said, he expects Mr. Cuomo to be effective in Florida.
