In FY2011, FEMA’s ‘Disaster Relief Fund’ was $7.5 billion dollars. For FY2012, the DRF was $7 billion. However for FY2013 FEMA requested only 6.08 billion; that’s the same amount as the six billion dollars in Sandy damages that New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo wants the Federal Government to cover in the coming weeks and months.
