Brooklyn, NY – Special tribute has to be paid to the heroic members of the Shomrim Organizations throughout New York City, this is a story that hasn’t been told, and is still in progress. Since before the storm hit, Shomrim organized in every neighborhood, they prepared heavy equipment, generators, chains saws, water pumps etc.
As soon as the storm started they sprang into action, from cutting down fallen trees that blocked the roadways – within minutes of their falling – that the roads remain passable for vehicles to pumping out flooded houses, to patrolling neighborhoods that lost power.
