Ukrainian police arrested four people in connection with the assault of Rabbi Mendel Deitsch on Oct. 7.
According to Crownheigths.info, the suspects are two men, 40 and 21 years of age, and two women, 16 and 13 years of age. They face up to eight to 15 years in prison if convicted.
Deitsch, an Israeli citizen, was robbed near the Jitomir train station in the city of Zhitomir. He was left unconscious and bleeding on the scene for hours until he was found around 11 a.m.
Deitsch has been active in the Ukraine for years. He currently runs the Alter Rebbe gravesite in the town of Hadiatch.
He is in critical condition, with two doctors brought from Kiev to treat him.
