A Plainview student suspected of drawing swastikas in Nassau Community College bathrooms was arrested Tuesday by Nassau Police, ABC7NY reported.
The suspect, 20-year-old Jasskirat Saini, is reportedly a student at the college and is believed to have drawn three swastikas found in a men’s bathroom on October 15.
Saini is also suspected of drawing swastikas on a wall and stair handrail on December 7 and in men’s bathrooms on December 16. According to NY Daily News, Swaini drew 110 swastikas in total, in addition to writing “KKK,” “Germany,” and “Heil Hitler.”
Nassau County police claimed during their investigation to have caught Saini in the act, drawing two swastikas and a KKK on the exterior and floor of two Nassau College buildings.
ABC7NY said Saini has been charged with aggravated harassment, with his arraignment set for Wednesday.
Nassau Acting Police Commissioner Thomas Krumpter described Saini as a “bigot” and said he was “motivated by perceived slights of the Jewish community in his neighborhood in Plainview.”
