You can really sense the physical distance between Israel and Fox News’s headquarters in New York in this interview, regarding Jerusalem’s concerns ahead of U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit next week.
The journalist Fox contacted? Chemi Shalev, columnist for Israel’s left-wing Haaretz paper, which has become so controversial in the past month that it’s anathema to the country’s conservative and even moderate circles. In other words, Shalev is the kind of guest who, if he were American, would only be put on Fox in a debate, for someone like Tucker Carlson to ridicule. But Fox News is less concerned with Israel’s political divide, and Shalev’s analysis about Netanyahu’s growing concerns about Trump is insightful, no matter where you fall on the political spectrum.
